Efecte is a Finnish software company founded in 1998. The company employs 40 people in four countries: Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. It is headquartered in Espoo, Finland, and its CEO is Ari Rikkilä, formerly Finnish country manager at CA, Inc. Efecte's revenue in 2010 was 5,8 million €. With this turnover Efecte was generating loss 275,3 thousand €.
Efecte's software solutions have been developed for managing IT operations.[1] In the Nordic countries the company is specialized in Self-Service and Service Management. Efecte's solutions are used by companies such as Konecranes, Patria, Tamro, Blue1, Wärtsilä, as well as by most major cities in Finland (e.g. Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo, and Tampere). Efecte's Nordic customers include e.g. SSAB, Roskilde Municipality, FIH Erhvervsbank, BW Gas, and Adecco.[2]
Efecte’s Board of Directors includes four members; the Chairman is Pertti Ervi (also the Member of the Board i.a. in F-Secure, Stonesoft, and Ixonos), and the other members of the board are Risto Siilasmaa (the founder of F-Secure, and Nokia board member[3]), Ismo Platan, and Mikko Saari.
In the Technology Fast 50 ranking published by Deloitte & Touche, Efecte has ranked among the fastest growing Finnish technology companies in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, making the top 10 list in 2005.[4][5][6][7] In 2005, Efecte was also ranked as the 216th fastest growing technology company across EMEA.[8] In 2008, Efecte ranked 9th in Best Workplaces in Finland study conducted by Great Place to Work Institute.[9]
